After having quite an expensive Kodak printer fail I needed one quick to print a couple bits out on - I was a bit worried at the price, seemed too cheap - looked on eBay and found one going at a really good price used. I installed the drivers for the mac along with the 'wireless config software' and set up the wireless that way - easy! Only downside is the limited function (to be expected on a cheap printer) you have the option of super quick draft printing or painfully slow fine printing - not an issue though for the money! Pros are AirPrint compatibility! For such a cheap printer that is awesome and something my expensive Kodak didn't have!! Overall, value for money is excellent - black ink is quite expensive per print - Color is very reasonable. I'd recommend this to those who have little printing needs as it'll do everything you need on a budget!Read full review

This product is hard to set up for a non technical person, I’m not a technophobe. It was difficult to get it connected to my wi-fi. There are no instructions to state faults, I.e a yellow light is always on after set up, but I don’t know why? Colour photo print on normal paper, not film paper is awful, I put it straight in the bin. I’m really not happy with this product.

I purchased this printer as a replacement for my old Canon 3250 model. My old printer lasted me well over 6 years and still works but the paper feed is starting to play up. This is an upgrade of that model printer. I had it set up and printing within 15 minutes with no problems. It connected to my home network first time. I have read that some people say it wont connect. Make sure you connect it to your home WiFi HUB. It does not connect to your PC unless you use a printer cable. The printer connects to the HUB so you can use any device via your home WiFi. My wife is a teacher so the printer gets a lot of use. This is probably the best printer for this price on the market today. I'm only giving it 4 stars because it doesnt make my coffee for me.

When is a bargain printer not a bargain printer? When you can't get it to work as it should. The set up was a piece of cake but it WILL NOT link up with my devices. It's not visible to them and is unrecognised. All necessary apps downloaded etc. Still not working. Totally frustrating. I've now got a space wasting lump of plastic on my desk in the form of a printer but not actually functional as such. Cheers Canon.

Two days after I set it up it stopped working. No idea why, it just says "error printing". I've tried to go through the troubleshooting but it says it cannot detect the problem, I've been on the internet and can't find anything. Sorry but this one has failed and I wont be getting another one. I/ve gone back to my old trusty wired canon.
