This is an excellent product - the kit is extremely well thought through making installation quick and easy - can throughly recommend. I am really glad I bought the OE part.

The pump is a strong well made pump but the cable fitted is short and risks getting wet and shorting over time as water inevitably seeps into the shrink wrapped joints. This design is therefore not directly suitable for older cysterns. The part can however be modified and used and does the job.

The item is of good quality as you would expect from the manufacturer. There are cheaper versions on the market made by other manufacturers. If you are out travelling in your campervan or caravan, the last thing you need is for your toilet flush to stop working. One issue with all pumps is to avoid using the blue Thetford chemical for your flushing tank. I would recommend always using the pink Thetford flushing chemical - it's more expensive but it does not clog the pump after winter storage. You can make a temporary repair when the pump seizes up - take it out and rotate the pump shaft using a small tool. You can see how this is done on Utube. Item is relatively expensive but cheaper on eBay by 10%.
