this is a full move that takes the card captors on a holiday to Hong Kong where a ghost who is after the one who made the magic cards starts to trap them can our young hero save her friends and deal with this angry ghost this movie is one of the shows better story's the animation is still very good holds up very well to this day if you have not seen the show it might help but this movie is not to hard to walk in to it might be a good start to get in to the show or if you have seen the show and liked it then you should really like this movie this is one of two English dubs that were made for this show the other one was a bit to cartoon and only did about half of the series the dub on these discs covers the full series and the actors play it a bit more real out side of the flying teddy bear ha ha so if you are looking for a nice warm anime for a young girl this should be okay Read full review

Having seen the 70 episode english dub of "Cardcaptors",I was surprised to learn of the couple of "movie" episodes which I never saw on TV at the time. Still catching up with a english subtitled adaption of the original version yet. Anyways, this particular movie length episode is seemingly timed part way through season 1 when both Sakura & Lee were competing/coperating in the capture of the original "missing" Clow Cards. It's probably most notable for getting at glimpse at the introverted Lee's family home life with a rare appearance of his mother who is quite gifted in magical ability herself as per his families link to Clow Reed. But with the climax of Season 1 & then the reveal of Season's 2 main plot to come, this movie serves to give a little tease into the past life of Clow Reed. The ending is convenient but necessary if you're a fan of the series & worth tracking down if you've never seen it.Read full review
