the skyscout will not function now the gps system does not recognise modern gps satalights this is why celestron discontinued it in 2015, it will not correctly find planets now because of there constant movements and the stars you look at through the skyscout are no longer actually the stars listed because of the gps satalight failing problem, in effect the skyscout no longer knows where it is looking in the universe and does not recognise it location on earth, you also will have to manually put the day and date in each time you try to use it because it only recognises up to 2015, good luck with your purchase if your stupid enough to buy one now !!

I need to alert you - the firmware does not permit proper use after 2015 and there are no firmware updates available. There are some crude workarounds but most of its functionality including find and identify are at best poor and at worst lost. Don't buy.
