I use these Clarkes triple compound brake blocks in very hilly terrain, which is often wet sometimes muddy, as well as sometimes dry and dusty. I find these brake blocks couple good braking power with a reasonably good life. They work well in wet as well as dry conditions. Once their shoes have been fitted, they also work well on caliper type brake systems. They are quick to replace without having to make adjustments other than altering the cable adjusters to acheive the required brake lever movement. I think they are a very good consistent value relable product at a reasonably good price. Most likely could be a little cheaper though - so four stars because of that. . .

These brake pads are comparatively cheap but the quality is good. Carrying spare pads when touring is easier and lighter than complete brake blocks. They are easy to fit and the holders are stylish.
