Solid piece of kit I found it easier to use at about waste level put the bottle on a stool or low table put the bottle top on the bottle then put the crown capper on top then just push down on the levers don’t be frightened to use a bit of force after a couple of tops it’s easy better than the old one I had using a mallat to tap them on.

Used it for the first time last weekend, a very strong and robust capper but comes with a couple of issues, firstly it is very difficult to remove from the bottle once the crown cap has been sealed in position, secondly the central pin which withdraws as you pull down the handles makes a noticeable indentation in the crown cap, this I had to overcome by placing a 10 pence coin on top of the cap prior the capping operation. All in all a good tool and does the job.

Have been bottling beer for over 40 years had a great capper that finally gave up the ghost last year purchased and returned 3 capper's last year as they did not work. Needed a new one so bought this one last week which actually worked fine.

Works well, does require a little strength and practice but once the technique is mastered its easy .place bottle on firm level surface place cap on bottle with capper handles wide open, then gently close handles so re plastic cuffs grip bottle neck a push handles hard down.to release hold bottle between your knees and pull handle up- every ones a winner!

It's a robust piece of kit which works very well. I used a smidgin of silicone lubricant on the moving parts which made the action even smoother. With the bottle on a stable surface all it takes is a firm downward push on the handles and the cap is on.
