It was bought for an old Packard Bell PC that originally had 256MB of RAM. The Packard Bell PC now works fine 1 1/4GB of RAM, the two differently sized memories work fine together. This was an excellent purchase.

I bought this to replace a faulty memory module in my PC, which had been causing odd "illegal instruction" messages and also freezes and crashes. It is paired with a similar module made by Kingston, and has been running faultlessly for some months now. Upgrading from 1GB to the full 2 GB of RAM allowed by the motherboard has dramatically improved the performance of the PC. YOu need to be careful that you buy compatible memory, and don't exceed the motgherboard's RAM limit.
My 3 GHz Fujitsu is better for the inclusion of this memory. I can now run cubase 1.0 with all my lovely old sounds!!

Its memory, it does what it says it does, it remembers things! I used the Crucial memory website to look up the memory spec for my (old) PC and searched Ebay for a suitable module. Simples! Replaced a 500Mb module with a 1Gb module so Windows XP runs smoother/faster. Now if I were to buy a second one would it run twice as fast? Maybe not!
Great ram hard to get hold of 2gb set -These are great.. Ebayer has great comms..
