Bob Monkhouse was one of my favourite comedians from the 50's onwards. I remember his early days in partnership with Denis Goodwin,which he talks about in this book. How he started out standing outside theatres,selling jokes for pennies. The lack of love he was shown as a boy. The sex party at Di Dors is included,as are his marriages. A good read.
