I'm a fan of Tobe Hooper's work and this is a tidy little creature feature with okay creature effects.

I'm only giving this a rating so I can sell it. It looks awful

A group of students head out into the grand American wilderness and are stalked by a giant crocodile after one of the students take one of the crocodile eggs. A good modern day B movie with some action and gory horror. 6.5/10 Movie
I'll admit it, I initially picked this up mistaking it for Lewis Teague's Alligator. It took only seconds to realise my mistake, but having Tobe Hoopers (Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Poltergeist)name on the box and the 99p price tag I still purchased the film. That was my second mistake, my third was watching this damned awful movie. The packaging gave the impression this was an old film, late 70's early 80's, when in fact it was made in 2000. There was a certain charm to the horrors of that period, you could forgive bad special effects and rubber monsters, but a modern movie can't be excused those flaws. Worse still is the CGI, even the best computer generated images struggle to look real, but this croc moves like it was animated by an infant. It's not just the effects that are bad, the plot about teenagers on a boat getting eaten, one by one, shows little imagination, and the inclusion of the gnarled, old man with a vendetta against the beast is just silly. Even at the paltry price of 99p I can't help feeling a little ripped off.Read full review
