Cities of Gold 2 takes everything that was good about Cities of Gold 1 and completely destroys it! The music is awful, the animation is irritating to watch, the voices are all wrong - especially Mendoza - awful - and it's far less suitable for young children than the first. The faceless monk is just silly and difficult to explain to younger viewers. Basically, if you've seen the first one and loved it, give this one a wide berth.

I've recently got into this show earlier this month and was amazed by the plot and character interactions. Series One is a great starting point and Series 2 continues, as the title says, where the adventure left off. Each character stays true to their roots with a few small and not too important changes in appearances. The animation is nice and the voice acting is merit given that the events take place a year after the last series and the character will have to show signs of age. My only criticism is that this Series ends on a serious cliffhanger and I have to wait till Series 3 is released in the English dub in order to know what happens, despite it being released in 2016 in the french dub. But yeah I really liked this purchase and would recommend it to any fan of the original show, so long as they don't mind the changes in the character voices and animation style. All and all a good buy.Read full review

An old classic that I loved. Educating my children on old children’s series and they love it.
