It's a very sweet film, something for all ages. Leslie Caron and Fred Astaire dance so beautifully together. Recommended viewing for anybody who loves a musical.

How did Ferd Astair and Leslie Carron manage such superb dance routine? you cannot compare with todays movies. This one is is devoid of violence, any from of physical intimacy beteen man and woman. No electonic music, no camera tricks,, if you enjoy music and seeing facinatingly complex dance routines performed to perfection. A story line no more complex than Merl Streeps latest movie 'doubt', but filled with colour and romance. Perhaps better suited to mature viewers, how were raised in the pre-mobile phone, I-pod, ready to cook foods , multi-cultoral era. Derek H.
When I first saw this movie I was a teenager and, with an English language knowledge under “non-existent” level, the sound of “Dream”, better in the Four Aces version, gave me limitless emotions. Only later I discover what J Mercer did as one of the most popular American music’s author and the lightness of “Something’s Gotta Give” didn’t hesitate to be elaborated by my music taste, and deeply appreciated. Today, I agree, different culture by the youngster can make it apparently difficult to be enjoied but … once you decide de view it, like when you decide to read an old but good book, is like to taste a good wine. Readers will forgive my lack of confidence with English language. Roberto Causo, Rome, Italy
