Simply the easiest way to protect my Taylor guitar from damage due to drying out, especially during the winter months. All I have to do is add water to the green tube, gently wipe off any excess water and put it back inside the sound hole after every practice or gig, then slip the clear plastic sound hole cover over the opening. Cheap insurance!

Someone came into these thinking they are for guitars; in fact, they are for smaller instruments. The item is about 5 inches shorter than the actual one intended for guitars (I know this as I have several). This is either a Chinese knockoff or one used for a small instrument. It will still work, but not as well as the real thing. It shouldn't sell for more than $5-6.

Last winter when household humidity was too low to be measured by my hygrometer, a Dampit just like the one I just purchased through Ebay kept my acoustic guitar properly humidified. So when I bought another guitar the natural choice was another Dampit.

Keeps humidity in the inside Guitar body a long time. Easy to use and no mess. Sound hole cover works great and stays in place well. Easy to use multiple, if you really have to humidify at a faster pace. Really like this product.

I've used a Dampit in my hand-carved archtop guitars for years, only way to be sure I'm getting humidity to the inside of the guitar. I simply cut a a hole in a thick piece of felt to keep the Dampit from falling into the guitar and hang it in the F-Hole.
