At nearly 70 years of age I was one of those people who detested anything to do with computers, and to some extent I still do. Unfortunately circumstances, in the form of a serious road accident and hundreds of e mails to solicitors, meant that the purchase of a computer was the sensible thing to do. My first laptop was a Toshiba Satellite with a 17.5" screen, ideal for the writing of e mails etc., which is still going strong, but as I became more competent with a computer I wanted to try using it for different things such as using it to diagnose faults on cars. I needed a machine that was physically smaller than the Toshiba so that it was more convenient to use in a car. I saw many laptops on EBay, some of which I didn`t win, others had problems with them, o.k. nothing that couldn`t be sorted out, but I wanted one that I could use without having to repair it first. Then I saw the Dell D510 at £70 buy it now including charger and postage seemed a good deal. When it arrived it was already loaded with Windows XP pro which wasn`t that different to Vista, the HDD and RAM could be a bit bigger but for using it as I am with automotive programmes isn`t really a problem and the size is ideal. But the thing I DO like about it is the range of connections on it. Many of the interface`s use a 9pin serial port which the later laptop`s don`t have, but the Dell seems to have at least one of everything and in the case of USB ports it has 4. O.K. so it has limitations for some of the more complex programmes but for somebody who want`s a small laptop which is convenient in size this really is ideal.Read full review
Excellent very good condision, good work Dell Latitude D510 15" Laptop. Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.
The reconditioned laptop works well. I only use it to play old games and as a backup machine but it is fully capable of normal usage I think.
