My Father and Mother bought this item for me after my other laptop broke down. The only thing I could find fault with is it having the USB port at the back and not at the side as well. This however does not bother me, your fingers soon get used to feeling for it. This machine is very good for business and playing slightly older games(which are nearly always better anyway :) or just using as a type writer as I mostly do. On the whole this is the best computer I have ever had! Also if you like listening to Media Player I would recommend it. I almost went for a Dell D610 but after reading comments from experts saying about it having bad sound (because of it being just a basic business machine) I went for this as my sister already has one and it has very good sound. So to those who enjoy music I would recommend this! I could not say how the internet works on it because I do not have or want it. But my sister's has it for research and it goes jolly well. Bought this after reviewing various laptops in my price range. It appeared to offer what I needed and I wasn't disappointed. It looks good, is fast and simple to use and has all the features one could ask for from a machine in this price range, and more besides. I can favourably compare it with my daughter's laptops, ( Toshiba and an IBM Thinkpad), and they are in fact quite envious of my new purchase. Probably one of the best I have ever used, without a doubt, and this machine gets my wholehearted recommendation.
I bought this laptop because i needed a laptop with this particular windows software for a particular application for work, as my windows 8 laptop would not work with software available. Since this purchase a new software version has been released. Therefore I would not normally have bought an old model of this sort. However the item works and cannot be criticised. I would not recommend the product purely because the slow processor speed is not helpful when you are trying to work quickly. It purely was a job requiring something specific.
I have just replaced my Dell Latitude C510 with this D610. Both were second hand and both are XP Professional. Albeit 15 years apart. I rest my case m'Lord.
Complete rubbish! I have a 620 and 630 and both are great laptops. The 600 was a real disappointment unbelievably slow and even the IT guys at work were unable to do anything to speed it up.
