Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Best-selling in CD Players & Recorders
This a a fine piece of equipment near the audiophile level. It is a bit old school but looks clean and simple like some of the upper line modern players. I played it against an old Carver and it 'hits' harder but is not as smooth overall. Great lows with good stereo seperation, no hiss, low distortion if at all. The front panel allows yout to manually select songs, not completely dependent on the remote like so many modern players. I like the sound of dedicated cd players over dvd/cd players because it is smoother and more music oriented versus the hard digital sound of dvd players. This one has good headroom, the ability to handle the sudden high energy bursts of music. Unless one is willing to plug down near $500 for a Marantz or Cambridge modern player I would go old school on one like this.Read full review
