Used this device to feed the TOSLINK output from a computer sound card into the line inputs of a mixing desk. Was used to eliminate hum that was being experienced with copper patch cable. Works perfectly. If you buy these devices then you will need to also get hold of a decent 5v dc psu. The USB charger type psu's do not have clean outputs and cause interference into the audio. I also use one of these on the return path at the pc to receive the audio signal from the TOSLINK output from the mixing desk- a USB output from the pc is used to supply the device and is suitably quiet--- A great little device to use as a solution to stop inductive hum pickup or earth loops.

Personal opinion = Waste of money. Loud buzzing from speaker when attached to unit. Of course it's cheap but you might as well donate your cash to charity rather than throw it away on one of these converters. To be fair, it might be that I have a one off faulty item but I wouldn't risk my money on a replacement.

It set up really easily, no problem pairing to my lap top. Sound quality is good but not quite as clear and precise as listening directly from the CD player, but for this price it is brilliant. My CD collection is now easily accessible from my laptop and I don't have to look through hundreds of CD's and manually swap them in the player, just pick them from my music library on the computer and press play. My 30 year old stereo is now a 21st century system.

I found this simple to set up between my HiFi amp and new JVC TV. Runs off USB power from the TV and lead included which was a bonus. Sound quality is excellent, especially at the price. My only criticism is the red power LED is a bit bright but that is all. Overall very impressed!

Bought this on hope that it would convert the digital optical out from a new TV set (with no RCA analogue outs) into an analogue stereo out signal that would work with my old prologic surround sound receiver. Now have a fully working surround sound. Fantastic value and simple to use.
