Not watched The Herbie films yet. Watching them with my nephew Isaac. This will be at Anne Moores house. This is what she called her retreat when she lived with my Father on the farm. He has since died and my brother Edward lives on the Farm and has a small flock of sheep and a few cattle. He has a small business making shutter doors. He didn't watch Herbie but I've seen them all apart from Herbie Fully Loaded. I've been to DisneyWorld with Peter Churnside when I was 17 in Florida. He had an excellent itinerary and we flew every airline across America. He was in the R.A.F. when it was Compulsory to join The Forces. In The National Service. He worked behind the bars pouring the drinks for The R.A.F. I don't know if he took his pilot license or had any other role. The National Service Act was in September 1939 in WWIII when Great Britain was at War. It was also implemented again in 1948. This was an Act of Parliament which extended conscription of W.W.II after Parliament didn't think Great Britain required National Service. Bill approved in 1947 expected to be implemented in 1949. The Cold War and Malayan Emergency led to a revised and extended version of legislation in December 1948. This Act was similar to The National Service Act of 1939 which it over ruled. Its aim was to continue National Service when Great Britain wasn't at War. The National Service Act 1948 applied to all healthy young men. In October 1950 The Korean War. 1950 to 1953. The 25th of June 1950 North Korea invaded the South. The North was communist and supported by China and Russia. The South was supported by The U.S. & U.K.The service period was extended to 2 years. The reserve period by 6 month. Call ups ended in November 1960. The last National Service Men left The Armed forces in May 1963.Not sure when Peter took his National Service. Heidi took photos of Walt Disney art sketches and cartoons for her A Level Art when we saw The Walt Disney exhibition. I helped her research artists from the large and extensive collection of books in Rawtenstall Library. I wrote the essay on The Artists has Heidi didn't read books but could only read Jackie Collins. Peter had a library of books and I read most of them whilst living at Wales House. Heidi did the Art work. She got an A for her Art A level from The Grammars School we attended after passing The 11 plus. I'm going to watch Herbie goes Bananas first with Isaac. I had my V.W Land Green T Shirt on last time I saw him on a Tuesday when he visits Grandma and stays every Monday night. My Volkswagen print is Type 1 - 1967 from The Owners Handbook. I bought it from ASDA. Associated Dairy Association. When I wanted a larger supermarket for the chest freezer we had. We had small shops and Kwiksave supermarket. I advised my Father to sell our Dairy herd because I thought we would lose doorstop delivery and the milk price would go down from the tank we had in the porch which was previously our kitchen. Tankers from the Milk Marketing Board paid and picked up the milk. Herbie goes Bananas is set in Central America. Herbie has a personality and high octane humour makes it a great comedy. It is highly action packed. Herbie sets sail for Rio de Janeiro Brazil for a racing course with two new owners. Smugglers persue them, a pint sized pickpocket and a raging bull attacks Herbie and the racing car driver and co pilot. Herbie was my favourite Herbie film. Next favourite is Herbie Goes To Monte Carlo. Herbie enters a rally Paris to Monte Carlo. From the North of France to the South which I've travelled on T.G.V. when I lived in France in Biot near Antibes. I didn't go to Monaco. I asked the Design manager Director if I could go to the Grande Prix in Monaco at The Christmas Party at The Fighting Cocks but he said he was networking. Herbie falls in love with a sporty smooth and glossy light blue Lancia. A gang of jewel thieves hide a gem in Herbie's gas tank. This film is very humourous. The next film I was going to show Isaac was The Love Bug. Dean Jones plays Jim Douglas an out of luck race car driver. The co pilot isn't so bright and small and fat. Jim wins with Herbie but he thinks it's his skill. Someone tries to steal Herbie a rival car driver. Full of cliffhangers. Herbie Rides Again. This is the sequel to The Love Bug. Award winning actress Helen Hayes stars has the leading lady. Her very first screen comedy of her career. Co stars are Ken Berry and Stefanie Powers. They aid her in saving her beloved Victorian firehouse home from the wrecking ball of a greedy real estate magnate Keenan Wynn. A Walt Disney villain. It's up to Herbie to save the day. My 4th favourite Herbie film. The new film Herbie Fully Loaded I haven't seen. It stars Lindsay Lohan who I don't know. She's a Teen favourite in Freaky Friday and Confessions of A Teenage Drama Queen. She teams up with Herbie who is in a junkyard. Lohan restores the V.W. Beetle and they go off road and then onto the racetrack. I'll watch this last with Isaac.Read full review
