They are easy to use. Don`t have to pull a lot of other parts off to be able to fit it on. Have used these before and they do work very well. Do save you a lot of time to put on. A good product. Just a matter of cutting the old one of, after you have removed the clips on ether end and then slice it from one end to the other and then lift it off. Cut the ends of the new one to match the old one taken off. Clean some of the grease away. wrap the new one around the shaft and glue it together then put grease back onto shaft and slip it over and then clamp it back onto shaft. all done.

No good for Oetiker type clips. Not enough mechanical advantage to completely close clip and final action of pliers to flatten crimp no good. I used a simple pair of end cutters instead.

Purchased these to tighten up some bands on a cv boot on my cars drive shaft, I know you can get away with using side cutters or nail pinchers, but this tool crimps up the ear on the band and flattens it down all in one motion, well that's the idea anyway. I've not used them yet so cannot comment further.

Poor quality and the metal handle sheared in 2 on 1st use, I'm not a big strong man but I still managed to break the pliers with just using my hands on a outer VW CV boot clip, these pliers are suited to small clips on breather hoses etc not really up to the job on bigger thicker clips, buy a better heavy duty pair as that is what I needed to use in the end.
