Great movie, it won several nominations all over the world, including 3 Oscars! This movie is based on true story of Wladyslaw Szpilma, a Polish remarkable pianist of a Jewish origin who survived Nazi holocaust during WWII. The movie is as strong as it’s moving and it has such a believable delivery of the events that it’s hard not to be emotional after seeing it. Roman Polanski, the director, has definitely mad his mark with it and being a holocaust survivor himself his point of view it’s so much more accurate. Adrien Brody who delivered outstanding performance and his character of Szpilman, including real time piano playing the Nocturne of Chopin bellowed piece of music, which assisted Szpilman during his remarkable survivor, even Szpilman himself mentioned that this single piece was responsible for his strength during those impossible times. This movie is definitely one, which needs to be seen regardless of your country of origin, personal views and religious associations. In my view 5 out of 5 starts.Read full review
