Bit expensive for one tap, until you consider paying for a Plumber or removing the taps for replacement ( or both ). The only issue is the question as to whether it will work or on your tap or not . . . I read all the blurb and bought a ring spanner to try - but couldn't shift it with just the spanner whilst the tap was attached to the sink, and it would have been be a major effort to swap the taps without moving the sink out . . . so I punted in in the end. I'm in a hard water area so everything gets embedded in stone so I was expecting to need heat application and all sorts of fuss . . . but moved it after winding on a bit of pressure and some bumping. I waited a bit for a used one to arrive on ebay - but there was only one along that I saw in a couple of years and it went for not much less then the new one, so I reckon I can sell it on when I've checked the friends and relatives to see if anyone else has a stuck tap gland ( as Wilko call them ) . . . so in the end all's well and it moved with out too much trouble - I didn't even need heat. I caught an ebay 10% off £20+ offer so quite happy in the end. I'm glad to see we still make something in Britain !!Read full review

This tool is extremely useful! It removed my stubborn bath tap so easily. It did it so easily, at first I didn't think it was doing anything, but I could see the tool slowly turning the tap valve nut and within a couple of minutes it was released. Saves you having your tap turning while using normal wrench and damaging your pipes. I am very impressed. It stores away nice and easily too. Easy to follow instructions for even complete novices!

Will remove stuck tap valves with ease. Don’t listen to some reviewers saying how it’s somehow flimsy and will bend....it won’t and you’d have to be putting immense pressure at an angle for this to happen. It’s designed for such an eventuality.... look at the arm, it contains a hole, this is to insert a bolt to attach to if a lower position is needed. The metal is very strong, this will stand up to a lot of pressure. Only criticism, it is a little pricey but we all can guess why this is.... people would only ever need one and it’s the way the manufacturer can get profit back

This tapsplitter did exactly as advertised and I was able to change the ceramic disc cartridge on our hot tap in minutes after struggling using other methods without any success and at £29 saved us a lot of money had we called in a plumber I thoughly recommend this tool

One of my bath taps was turning itself on due to the rubber seal being perished. I tried everything to undo the tap top but it would not budge and pipework was being twisted. As it was not possible to get access to undo the pipework from the tap it would have resulted in the bath having to be removed but as the bath is embedded into the wall this would have cost me Thousands of pounds for a new bathroom suite and tiling. This tool did the job no problem. Brilliant bit of engineering.
