Probably my most cherished album by the eels but still a lot of sub-par filler tracks, quality not quantity!

I CANT REMMEMBER HOW I GOT INTO EELS THEY JUST FITTED IN AND PLAY THEM MORE OFTEN THAN MOST, AS WITH MOST BANDS ALBUMS ARE A BIT PATCHY AND YOU END UP FAST FOWARDING TRACKS BUT THIS ALBUM YOU DONT WANT IT TO END IT PICKS YOU UP AND DROPS UP AS QUICK TELLING A STORY AND CATCHING YOUR MOOD I LOVE EELS AND ITS ONE OF THE BETTER ALBUMS AND FITS INTO TO MY MUSIC SPOT ON
I got into the Eels through the 'Meet the Eels' compilation which has led me into investigating their back catalogue. And so far this is the best one I have come across. Make no mistake its no easy listen and some of the songs are wrenching. But hats off to singer/songwriter E, he captures a mood and transfers it to song brilliantly. I cannot help but wonder which Eels album to buy next.
It took me a while to catch on to the Eels, but various friends often played the band and I got hooked by the follow-up album to this, "Daisies of the Galaxy". This is slightly less poppy but an equally endearing mix of cynical and upbeat, especially album closer "P.S. You Rock My World".
