Hey! Ho! Let’s go!” Popular mythology says The Ramones were four freaks in leather jackets who only knew three chords. Partly true, but as Michael Gramaglia and Jim Fields’ blitzkrieg bop of a rock-doc brilliantly shows, The Ramones were also “conceptual art”, catalysts for the mid-’70s punk revolution – dysfunctional figures bound together by a rock’n’roll brand name. Sad, especially as Joey (cancer), Johnny (ditto) and Dee Dee (heroin) have all died since filming was completed
Absolutely fantastic account of the life of the Ramones.Their demise bought a tear to my eye but i am sure their music will live on. Well worth a watch.
Great value for a brilliant documentary
