It is just amazing camera. There is something in this camera that makes you feel great when you taking photos, or even when you carry it. It is a “serious” digital camera, for film photography enthusiasts. Build quality is spectacular, and it can take great quality photos. I personally own one, and I love it. I highly recommend the Epson R-D1.

Got one of these a few months ago, it's brilliant and reminds me of using film with that lovely thumb window feels like your winding on film, yet it sets the shutter. No it is not a point and shoot but a camera any real photography will love.

Often discribed as the poor man's Leica, this is the only other rangefinder digital available, so if you're a fan of this style of focussing then the choice is very limited. Also very limited is the image quality compared to the leica M8 and not even close to the M9. That said this is an amateur photographer's camera - the sort of camera where you need to understand what you're doing to use. If that's what you're into then it's a lovely beast. "Beast" - it is somewhat oversized. I was hopiong for a discrete camera that I could easily use for street photography but this half-frame camera comes in a full frame camera body that weighs more than my DSLR.
Only had it for a few weeks but Im loving this camera, I cant believe how good the images are even up to 1600iso. Provides great B&W photos... Just hope it doesnt encounter any problems.
