I once used unbranded cartridges in my Epson photoprinter - disaster, the prints were dreadful. Now I only used genuine Epson carts, which give me excellent results.

The hugely devalued pound since Brexit makes imported goods very expensive, including already costly printer inks. Changing cartridges also required two print head clean cycles. I have since then printed about 15 mono and colour pages, and the black cartridge is showing 50% used. When a set of cartridges costs more than £70, that is a HUGE cost per page. No longer worth doing home printing.

Best to stick with the genuine inks as they do not block the printer head!

Epson-specific inks at a good price. I have had no problem with these, unlike cheaper "compatible" versions.

Never had any problems with OEM ink. So in my view worth the extra cost (over third party equivalents)
