The first time I got this I thought the pot was empty . . . . . . It is very light but dries quickly so long as it's not too thick (5 to 10mm) but I've bodged it in holes up to 30+mm deep and after a day it's solid enough to sand. Considering it's so light-weight I have been surprised about how hard wearing it is and it does stand up to a knock better than traditional plaster based fillers although I wouldn't recommend using it on a step for example where there's a lot of foot traffic. Not so good for thin layers where you're much better off using a fine plaster based filler but for larger holes in plaster board and wood it really does the trick. I've used it to fill hinge and catch holes in door frames for a quick and easy fill rather than lathing wood slivers in with glue then sanding and filling, just whack it in and let it set, sand off and touch up where necessary.Read full review

It works exactly as described so I can't fault it for that. It's a great new, smooth type of filler which performs very differently from traditional fillers and doesn't sag and would be great used so long as no strength is needed. It does warn you about lack of strength and that it is not suitable for taking fixings. I thought I'd give it a go and it had appeared to work but a while but later the fixing fell out, the filler had not held it at all. My fault entirely I had never used this filler before and thought I would attempt it, but no, as it says, don't use this as a filler if it needs to carry any weight, even something light, otherwise, when used for the appropriate application it's pretty good and I would use it again.

Great filler, very easy to use although it does have a strange consistency. Easy clean up if you are messy like me. If it falls on carpet don't try to rub off, just leave on the surface until dry then just hoover. Be careful not to tread it in! Takes paint easily. I much prefer it to other fillers.

This is the first time that I have ever moved away from cheaper proprietary fillers. I found that deep holes filled well with one swipe and amazingly no shrinkage or runny slump falling away to the bottom of the hole / recess. I indicated that the purchase of one strike filler was good value, that was based on the time saving element of no sanding or dust collection. However, when I look at the size of the tub I can’t help but compare it’s shape and capacity to those other proprietary brands which do not perform quite as well. But look here Mr. manufacturer, I really believe that your product is overpriced. There surely is an opportunity to make a price reduction especially when your sales can only increase after the products good reputation has spread to the masses. The ball is in your court to make a gesture that will combine reasonable price and great work result. Regards r2a3y8b9. Read full review

One strike filler is one of the best and cheapest I've ever used. It is light, easy to spread, sticks well without "pulling"and dries quickly. It fills deep holes usually in one application. Doesn't need sanding if applied neatly but can be sanded easily if necessary. It paints over easily and covers well although may need a second coat. I can't recommend it highly enough.
