Reviews
Entertainment Weekly - FRANKENWEENIE is a cool little flipbook of historical Burtonian style., San Francisco Chronicle - It is pure, retro-cinematic joy., Boston Globe - The movie, a simple yet immensely pleasurable tale of a little boy and his undead dog, is good enough on its own. If you know the back story, it's even better.
Consumer Advice
Contains mild threat, scary scenes and one use of mild language
Additional Information
Tim Burton's 1984 short film FRANKENWEENIE is resurrected for the big screen with this stop-motion 3-D remake, which once again centres on a boy, Victor (Charlie Tahan) who reanimates his dead terrier, Sparky and the suburban fallout that occurs because of it. Sparky's appearance and the thought of him as a dead dog turns the neighbours against him but Victor is on a mission to convince everyone that he is still the loyal friends he has always been. BIG FISH screenwriter John August provides the script for the Walt Disney production.
