This kit was the first commercially available headgear in Europe and resembles a typical modern steel structure as used from the early 20th century until the end of large scale deep shaft mining (end of 20th century). In their best tradition Faller has shrunk the structures and 'recycled' older kits (the engine house is a modified goods shed from the 1960s), and unfortunately in the process has introduced some fundamental design cock-ups, e.g. tub-run (1st floor) too small, and the door on the ground floor facing the wrong direction. This makes the structure appear top-heavy. As the headgear is to scale, well-detailed, prototypically proportioned, and somewhat functional it is worth the effort to put it on top of some more prototypical buildings; use some photographs for guidance.
