Unlike other felt plectrums that i have used the Mahalo plectrum is a little stiffer which I think produces a much better sound and increases volume when needed. . It's shape and feel is good and gives the user confidence knowing that the sound isn't going to differ. I purchased the pack of three and I am still using the first one,although it is now beginning to show signs of wear but it has lasted much longer than previous non Mahalo plectrums. I shall definitely continue to use the Mahalo brand. Mahalo Felt Plectrum: too stiff
Sorry, but it feels like playing with a piece of 3mm plywood. The plectrum may be made of felt, but it's stiff as a board. If you want something gentle you need to look for an product explicitly (and accurately) described as a 'soft felt plectrum'.
