Flowers In The Attic I remember watching when I was 18 years old. Now re-watching it, It's a great remake now a days. The cover is awesome. But I found out this is the Canadian Version, which means it's from Canada. I don't mind at all. I love DVD and having a Canadian DVD is awesome. Thank you, the shipping was nice, it came out nice. The DVD was new, no scratches on the disc. Thank you so much. :)

I did not realize I had ordered a more contemporary "REMAKE" of a movie I once saw and liked. There were memories I had of certain scenes when I first saw this in the late 1980's. But in watching THIS VERSION, I kept expecting to see certain scenes and THEY NEVER HAPPENED! So...I investigated on the internet and that's when I learned all the details about the original version versus this later adaptation. But beyond the story lines, what I disliked the most were all the ABRUPT, BLUNT EDIT CUTS TO BLACK AS IF A COMMERCIAL WAS ABOUT TO HAPPEN! Yes, that's what you get with THIS VERSION! I drags it down to just a typically cheap, bad, 'made for TV' version. And those awkward edit cuts to black actually cut the background music off so rudely, that it gives this whole DVD production version the air of an amateur indie movie made by college students. And when production flaws like these are released and sold to the public, I feel ripped off! The blame here lies at the feet of Deborah Chow - a first time wannabe director, the screenplay writers, and finally, the bank rollers (producers) of this movie in the first place. I can't stand the trite formulas for made for TV movies where you can expect commercial breaks, even if there are none - because the abrupt fade to black edit cuts occur to often and signal the viewer that this movie is a cheap attempt at a big screen production. After all, the allure and wonderful world of movies exists to help us all escape from reality for a spell. But when amateur production flaws keep happening over and over again, you are constantly reminded you are watching a flawed movie that could have used a better director, better story line, and certainly a better studio behind it's production. There actually are ways that made for TV movies can be written and filmed without having to endure choppy edits and abrupt interference with the story line and 2 hours of "suspended disbelief".
