The lens on this camera is really great--extremely sharp, very vivid colors. The AF system is pretty good too. I usually get one pic on every roll that is out of focus, but that isn't too bad considering I am doing a lot of street photography with it. The built-in flash is a very nice touch, too. LOVE this camera. It is so easy to carry around everywhere.

The GA645 has a noisy autofocus and film advance, but it is light and portable. Manual operation is a bit of a pain, as adjusting the shutter speed requires holding down a button while spinning the adjustment wheel. Pictures are sharp and focus is easy to obtain. The meter is accurate and the camera is much easier to pack and carry than most medium format cameras. The f4 lens speed is not bad. The vertical normal format of the film is 90 degrees opposed to the camera body, which takes some getting used to as it is different that most cameras and SLR's we work with. As a camera to pack for a hike or tour a new area, its a good choice, faster handling than most mf slr's except the newer AF Mamiya's and Hassy H's.
Lightweight; auto focus or manual focus by distance scale; large, bright, parallax compensating viewfinder; built in flash, hot shoe; coupled meter for auto and shutter priority settings plus manual setting; superb lens; well made. Very sharp images. Highly underrated camera.

A wonderful light weight medium format point and shoot camera. Makes shooting medium format a breeze and fun. The lens is fixed but excellent nonetheless. The negatives produced with 120 film are just beautiful. Highly recommended less expensive alternative to the Mamiya 6 and 7.
So easy to use and amazing image quality. Good value for sure.
