Fast and reliable, even though it was used. Probably will be replaced with a bigger one long before it ever wears out. Some of these laptop drives aren't too hot, this one is. I had another brand that Compaq uses a lot and it was the second drive in there when it crashed. Starts with an H and ends with an I, first one crashed after six months in the computer when it was new. Replaced by Compaq with the same one that crashed a few years later. I'll stick with this brand, thank you. I usually run these along with the computers for many years. As long as it accomplishes the goals why change it? I mostly surf nowadays get my emails, check traffic and weather. Could do that with a cell phone but I don't like using a small screen. Will be getting wireless internet so I can use it anywhere. I purchased this product several weeks ago and have been totally satisfied with the drive performance. These compact drives are easy to install, format quickly and are dependable for daily use. The drive design make this model compatible with most laptops, and the drive has all the necessary threaded screw holes to accomodate all laptop bracket designs. Great Product!
The hard drive is old. It was used - there'd be a chance if you'd buy this HD it will most likely be used. Format of the hard drive indicated several bad sectors. There's a possibility the HD will fail to operate in the next one to two years; yet, that's not in stone. The HD runs in 5400 rpms - slower for less power consumption. It has a 40 GigaByte capacity - rather small compared to today's technology. The laptop HD is ideal for older platforms such as Windows XP or even Windows 2000.
It just works, and like all Fujitsu drvs it is quiet.

I must say, this one works way better then I expected (even if it's used). It's works perfect fox a quick fix for a small amount of cash. No detected bad sectors or anything, it works perfect and continues to do so. I do indeed recommend this product, so buy one! or 2 or 10!!! yeah buy 10 of um! i kid i kid =)
