This is a brilliant cd from Funeral For a Friend. I bought the cd as I love the single 'Into Oblivion' but the rest of the cd is just as good. Definately one to recommend!
Yes it is a good album and i did enjoy most of the the songs, it definately not FFAF in their finest. Some say they have comercialised, bringing out this concept album all about the sea but they can still play. More expeced from FFAF in 2008 On this album: listen to: Into Oblivion (reunion) Out of Reach All Hands on Deck: Part one: Raise the Sail
Great CD, short but a differnt kind of album. The theme of Sea and Ships continues throughout this album and makes it a very unique sound. 1 word.. great!
Well been thinking about buying this album for months. Loved Oblivion and the other songs they released wern't bad either. But was put off by the fact that hadn't really heard any good reviews about the album. But on listening to it a few times have been very impressed! Would say is a real good listen, still not convinced about the last song, but the other 9 are first class! Buy this album!!
"Tales Don't Tell Themselves" is a triumph, a remarkably assured, wonderfully cohesive work, boldly conceived and superbly executed. Recommended.
