I received this GPS SatNav antenna today 2 days after purchase (one of those days being a Sunday) and I had it installed and calibrated to my Ford Focus 2010 plate in around 20 minutes. If anyone is experiencing issues with the SatNav not working, for example the display saying your in the middle of a filed, driving through houses, lakes or driving in the Irish Sea as in my case, it's more than likely going to be a faulty SatNav antenna. Don't go to your local garage and get yourself ripped off, even more so from a Ford garage (Whichever make of car you have), stick with this cheap method! I unplugged the faulty antenna and simply plugged this one in, found an area/hole behind the head unit dash to place the receiver and reinstalled the head unit. Test first and recalibrate the SatNav, check it has connected to a number of satellites and that's it, job done!Read full review

Sat Nav on 2008 Range Rover Vogue stopped working. For £5.55 tried this as a test to see if the Antenna was the problem, which is was. Price of new Range Rover Antenna would be at least £100 for a second hand part. As this antenna is fitted with a FACRA connector it plugs straight in to the Range Rover wiring. To properly integrate this into the Sharks Fin on the roof does required a little careful work. Even if you don't want to use this a a permanent solution it is great as a diagnostic before you take your car to a Land Rover dealer an pay hundreds to have it diagnosed and fixed. My Range Rover Antenna failed due to water getting in around the rubber seals at the base of the shark's fin housing on the car roof. The water gets on the to unprotected circuit board and destroys it.

Bought for a Ford Focus I recently purchased with the GPS not working, info was showing 0 satellites and "no GPS". From researching the problem I believe this is because the external aerial is prone to water ingress. 10 minute job the remove the head unit and fit this new GPS aerial. Left the actual receiver behind the head unit so that it was tidy. No extra wires on show and the receiver is hidden behind the dash. Refitted the head unit and took the car for a spin. Location is spot on, now showing at least 8+ satellites constantly even in its hidden location. Well worth the low price, pleased with purchase!

My Ford Mondeo had a defective aerial base due to water ingress which is a common fault apparently, Ford no longer sell the aerial base as it's such a poor design and offer a modification which is £100's. After doing some research I found this item which does the job amazingly well, I routed the cable behind my dashboard myself in less than an hour and now have the antenna sitting neatly on the top of my dash where the tax disc used to go. A great product and at a fantastic price!

The Sat Nav on my Mercedes 270E had intermittent problems for the past year. All advice online hinted that it was the GPS antenna but implying that you should buy the Mercedes part for between £75 to £120 and then stated that it might not fix the problem. This £5.25 GPS antenna arrived in two days, I fitted it under the rear panel speaker and everything now works fine. I get 8 or 9 satellites and have never been more pleased with a purchase from eBay.
