This is my 3rd Gaggia machine and my second Titanium. I've had a Titanium since they first came out about 6 years ago, and whilst that one could have been refurbished, I felt it was time for a replacement. The Titanium is easy to use, the pre programmable coffee dose and dispenser means perfect espresso every time, with a fabulous rich nutty crema to boot. The second boiler for the steam dispenser also means steam is on tap straight away to create the perfect cappuccino, latte, flat white etc. I spend a lot of time in Italy and love Italian coffee - my Gaggia (coupled with quality espresso beans) produces perfect Italian coffee every time. Its on all day every day and its the only way we make coffee! Now Gaggia are producing a new range of machines, the titanium can be picked up brand new off Ebay for a fraction of the price they were new a few years ago. Excellent value for money!Read full review
This machine is the bees knees, its fabulous. It makes delicious coffee, just like a coffee bar. I have done a lot of research on coffee machines, but I still kept coming back to this one. You can adjust the amount of coffee to use and the strength. We have tried different coffees and flavours, some good, some not so good, depends on your individual taste. It is easy to use, just put the coffee in and press a button, then heat the milk with the wand, pour milk into cup and its done. The first secret to a good hot cup of coffee is to heat the cup first. The top of the machine heats up, so you put your cups on the top, while the machine heats up. The second secret is to make sure you use really cold milk straight from the fridge. You can use coffee beans and grind yourself, with its built in grinder, or you can used already ground coffee, just a matter of preference. You can buy coffee on ebay, if you buy bulk it is much cheaper that individual packs. As for cleaning well just a wipe down will suffice. The brew unit, which is behind the front door comes out. Just click the button on the unit and it slides out, this enables the unit to be washed out, a rinse under hot water is all it needs. There is a box container next to the brew unit, which also comes out, in order to dispose of the used coffee. If you use the machine daily, you will have to empty the box and wash out the brew unit at least once a week. On the front the digital display tells you when the coffee dispenser is empty, just add more beans or ground coffee and away you go. The grinder should be taken out and the coffee cleaned out at least once month, depending of usage. This is easy to do (you can go on the gaggia site), there is an explanation and step by step video instructions, on how to. The buttons on the front of the machine are used for small, medium and large coffees. There is a rinsing cycle. There is also the menu button which enables you to put in the date and time of day. Also you can select different languages. There is a large water tank on the back. What I love about this is, this machine has a swivel base on the underneath of the machine, its so easy to swivel it round and fill the watertank with ease. With ts stainless steel casing, just wipe with a damp cloth, and it will always look good. I also love the stainless steel outer casing. The machine has two boilers. One to the heat the coffee, and one to heat the milk. When making two or more coffees, afte the first one is dispensed, there is no need to wait, you can froth the milk at the same time. Saving lots of time and getting all the coffees out hot at the same time. This is clearly one of the best machines on the market, in my opinion.Read full review
I bought this machine as a replacement for a previous one, they are identical in every way, so I knew what I was buying..I did have a little trouble with communication with the vendor as a language barrier, as the machine took a lot longer to arrive than anticipated. Also the front door had come off in transit, i managed to replace, but doesn't sit that well, but doesn't effect the workings of the machine. But this is a great machine much too expensive to purchase at full retail of £700 ± so ebay made it affordable.
Good machine that you can make an Excellent espresso with aroma, it's Easy to use and to clean, If you looking for an espresso machine Gaggia Titanium is the best choice .
This machine broke down on me after 2 weeks of purchasing on ebay,, needs a new circuit board which is priced at £190, I have now bought a brand new machine from 7store on ebay for £315, beware of 2nd hand machines, not worth the trouble
