I bought this unit because I had previously used a Garmin Zumo on my motorbike and loved it. It appeared to have all the features I was looking for at a very reasonable price. I found the menu and all features really easy to use and I particularly like the Bluetooth link to my phone. The vehicle mount is compact and easy to fit and the internal speaker is clear and the volume is good without being tinny. I like the wide screen and the rubberised case which makes it easy to handle. The usual Garmin features such as voice instructions, on-going calculations and diversions etc are great and the additional lane information is very good. On a negative side I would have liked the Basecamp for Mac software with it to offer the choice of pre-planning and downloading routes with a corresponding routes feature on the unit. However that was a ZUMO feature needed for the bike and I guess I just got used to having it.Read full review
Likes: Faster to recalculate than the older models. Bigger screen than previous models. Still easy to add POIs via the Garmin web sites free POIloader. Dislikes: The "Less fuel" route choice option actually produced a route that would use more fuel than the "Faster" or "Shorter" choices; and the Nuvi totals showed it new that it would use more fuel. The ECO-route needs an extra, to interface with the car and is fairly useless without it. The Traffic receiver rarely receives real useful info.
Bought new car did not have a built in sat nav so needed to buy one. The Garmin sat nav is easy to use and looks quite nice. There is nothing not to like about it. I shopped around looking at different sat navs and found that this one had everything i needed on and easy to use and also the price.
great product, simple and efficient. used it in england and in spain with no problem. i also changed the language to spanish and it worked great. you can also use it while you are walking but its not very accurate at displaying where you are, but then again i bought it to use it on a car.
Bought this new Garmin 1390T few months ago. Being the first gps i owned it is relatively very easy to navigate, user friendly menus, very clear display, micro sd slot, and full with useful navigation features. no mp3 but that's ok. good value for money spent. overall i would recommend this gps +++.
