Easy to fit
Admittedly not cheap when at times you could pick up a brand new Henry for about £100 and get a completely new machine with warranty. However rather than have to throw away the rest of the 'old' vacuum cleaner and add to landfill and wastage I went down the 'green' route to repair mine by simply replacing the motor. Once you have taken your old cleaner apart, pretty straightforward, you can see the part number of the old motor and a simple Internet search will point you to a replacement motor. I did double check with the really helpful people at Numatic and then went ahead and ordered the motor. It arrived the next day and was simple to replace the old one with it and so far everything works well. Very pleased with the whole process. Excellent But Rather Expensive
An excellent motor. Very well made and packaged but rather expensive since one can buy a completely new Henry for £99. The motor runs much quieter than the original one. It does however get much warmer than the other.

Works, but a bit of a fiddle to fit.
The motor supplied was not as illustrated (which matched the failed motor), but it came with a kit of parts which fitted the casework. Did have to use rubber spacers from the old motor rather than those supplied. Could have bought one for a lot less, but there have been many variants of motor over the years, so it was important to find a supplier who could match the original motor model number.

All god for the unit but not for the planet.
Replaced motor in my Henry. It now works fine and runs quietly. However due to the cost of spare part if I had paid an engineer to do the job it would have been far cheaper to buy a complete new Henry. Unfortunately this is a big problem for the planet!
