Great headphones! Hard bass, lightweight and comfortable. This headphones are second i buy. First was near 10 years ago. I try more than 50 models from different brands (inc. Sony, Yamaha, AKG, chinese, etc.) in and close to that price group. This are simply the best, regardless of the dumb exterior.

I was looking at skull candy headphones and read a few reviews about Sennheisser hd202, I was quite impressed so I got a pair. The quality is very good and there is not much leak through, which pleases my wife no end. The cable is very very long and to me this is the only down side, as I only use mine when I am on my laptop, However, you do get a cable tidy with the headphone. I didn't pay a huge amount (compared to other makes) and was worried that the sound would be poor or distort at high volumes, But the sound quality is superb, even at max volume. Like I said earlier, there is non or very little noise bleeding out when the headphones are on (this suprised me, a lot). I am not an expert on headphones, but these work 120% for me and I would have no problems in recommending them to friends.Read full review
Light and comfortable and quite compact. The weight I think, probably detracts a little from the perceived build quality? Not quite the 'feel' of the likes of (huge!) Bayerdynamic studio cans, but certainly not cheap and cheerful feel either. Somewhere in the middle? Sennheiser really stand or fall on sound quality though, and no problems here for sure. Nice smooth mids and lovely highs. Bass is punchy. To be super-critical the bass could be a little bit tighter controlled on some very bass-heavy club/dance stuff. But in honesty that's compared to what you hear on an ambient system, putting it through the big amps & speakers that create the whole atmosphere with this music. Compared to other cans they are good. Very nice on rock and popular music's acoustic/amplified instruments and drum kits etc. Detailed and open sound on everything, they're not at all muddy or murky. Easy to drive from portable stuff like iphones & ipods as the input impedance is low. Remember that a lot of current flows into a low impedance if you plug them into the output of a big amp though. They certainly don't demand an amp. I use them with a headphone amp and that really makes these cans sparkle. If you listen a lot through phones you might look at one if you haven't got one? It will likely make more difference than laying out loads of cash on really exotic phones. I've been putting loads of stuff through these for the last few days and I'm pleased and impressed. They're a whole lot more than you might expect at the price. And without feeling like you've got Darth Vader's headgear on!Read full review

I had a similar pair of headphones for about 15 years until that broke. I already knew how they performed and sounded so I had to get that exactly same pair. I love how everything on them sounds nice and rounded. I love how the lows and highs are clean and not over exaggerated. I really enjoy working with them whether I'm doing a DJ set or producing music.

These are my second pair of HD202. I've only had to buy this pair after my, Grand kids have been using and abusing my first pair, for over an year! I had this pair for over 5 years on my old HI-FI and with a MP3 Player. The thing is you can get better sounding, better made, better looking, and more comfortable Headphones. But They will cost you A LOT MORE MONEY!!! So if you are looking for a great sounding pair of Headphones from a respected Maker then look no further!
