A George A Romero film!, this was surely going to be good. However, I was disappointed. Having watched the film, thinking this was going to be an excellent film, it was not the case. The ususal good zombie make up and actions were always present. However, the camera angles, being a diary, was not the best for me. Do not expect a zobie blair witch type film. The story line was not brilliant, kids filming their own horror film, get caught in the middle of a zombie plague, and they try to find their way home, without getting eaten. I thought Land of the Dead was alright, but this new film from Geroge A Romero was not as good in my opinion. Personally I enjoy watching the original Dawn of the Dead, and the recent remake, more than the latest two George A Romero films. I just hope if he decides to make another one, it is significantly better.Read full review
This is a fresh look at the Zombie doomsday we have seen so many times, it is seen though the eyes of cameras as we follow group of college students. We watch as the main character gets more and more obsessed with being on the outside of all the chaos by just filming everything. You get to see some emotions that have not been looked at in this way before and I enjoyed it a lot. There are some silly moments in it, there is one scene that comes to mind right away but overall I would give this a solid 4/5, a must see for zombie lovers or anyone who enjoyed Cloverfield's style of story telling. George A. Romero has done it again!
