this is third in the Ginger Snaps Trilogy and Katharine Isabelle gives another gorgeous and brilliant perfomance as Ginger. the sisters are taken back to the canadian forests of the 19th century were they find a trading post under siege from werewolfs. the sisters find an indian guide who helps them inside only for Ginger to be biten by the son of the leader of the trading post who has hidden his son because he knows his son is changing into a werewolf. the men turn on Ginger when they find out and she escapes with the help of the indian who takes Ginger to an indian medicine women who Ginger kills then returns to the trading post for her sister letting in the werewolfs to kill the men in the trading place. it is a very clever concept for the third in the Trilogy to take the sisters back and show how it began. it is a very entertaining film which keeps you thrilled till the end.Read full review
I LOVED this film! Considering how low a budget this was filmed, it was really prosionally done. It was a really different twist on the sisters and thier lupin adventures. Meant to be a prequel, it DOES round up nicely why the werewolf phenomena went to the USA (within this little movie Universe), and even suggests why the future (or modern day) Bridget and Ginger get sucked into the werewolf world. Beautiful setting, a very moving soundtrack, and some random white settlers VS Native Americans anomosity that actually fits the marginalised Vs the superior in numbers, but morally corrupt. I personally fell for Nathanial Arcand who plays 'the Hunter' (he doesn't get an actual name) on seeing this!
