Wow twenty years since i owned a haynes manual. Gone is the hard cover and quality paper that always survived the greasy and oily hands. The cover is now like a paperback and the paper is wafer thin but to give credit its still full of useful info and know-how and has been a god send. So quality is poor but info is priceless x

This Haynes Manual is the same as many others I've bought over the years in that it covers most of the jobs you're ever likely to do on the car in just about enough detail to complete the task. The authors assume you have a fair amount of car mechanic experience and are often guilty of stating you should remove X and Y without really explaining how you go about it. But in most cases, having the Manual as a guide is better than not having it. However, the worst thing about these newer-style manuals is they've been given the "cheap-and-nasty" treatment. The old-style Manuals looked the part and we're durable, capable of withstanding a bit of punishment and grime that they would be subjected to in a working environment. These new ones would be better suited for the bathroom... and I don't mean as reading material whilst sitting on the loo.Read full review
