Some great early Tijuana brass tracks but unfortunately missing "Bean bag" which to me is essential in any selection of his 60's output, so mide era stuff that im not that much into but I did enjoy an introduction to Hebs solo album "Rise" where he went all Jazz Funk, it did make me want to hear more of that particular album. Definitely well worth a listen and it looks like the track listing was selected by Herb himself as there is a note for each track from him plus a bonus second CD of a concert by Herb Alpert & Lani Hall Herbs wife and one of the Singers from Sergio Mendes & Brasil 66

Well its a strange album but it works for me. Many of the old favourites and the other is live with a female singer, jazzy and slick but out if the Alpert standard of old. Its good music but some traditionalists will dislike this fusion. The old stuff is very corporate rather than fan chosen and not my choice of his best but hey...its still him.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!! Love his music more now today than ever before. My favorite is This guy's in Love.
Anyone who was around during the 1960's remembers Herb Alpert and the Brass ! The jingles, TV commericals and variety shows all used Herb's music. The Brass also had 4 number one albums and 9 top 20 hit singles during this time. Only the Beatles sold more records during the 1960's ! This disc has most of the hit songs in nice remastered sound !! A quality CD for someone wanting a single disc of Herb's best songs !!! Recommended !!!!
