I have had 3 of these now with replacement units because the automatic feeder seems to go down after a year. I had purchased an extended warranty which was good because they sent me a replacement one right away so this makes the third one I have had. I like the versatility of the unit, it does everything I need it to do, even picture printing, however, as I said, with a lot of use, the auto feeder starts putting more than one page through after about a year and gets a "jam" error if faxing more than 10 pages. Tech people said that doesn't happen until after about 5,000 pages, however, I do not do near that volume and it still needs replaced. Tech support is ok, depending on who you get on the other end...some are better than others. Overall, it is a good unit, but of course, it is outdated now so I do need a newer model when the warranty runs out. The good thing is that HP does stand behind their products and are easy to work with.Read full review
I like the all-purpose functions this printer delivers! The copy function is gold, very clear and tight, and I'm fussy about what I want. The printing options are all-purpose and varied to fit what you want it to print and how you want it delivered. The fax is fully functional with options that keep you in charge. The only issue I have with this printer is the scanning program, having to really work at making the scanner save the file where you want it saved. It is a little tricky, especially if you click the wrong option early on, b4 you have a chance to actually use the scanner and try to save it to where you want it to save to. I love this printer and the addt'l memory card slots provided for quick printing options, per the printer manager program that pops up when you slide the card in. Over all, and for the money, this printer is way worth it. HP is th best value in printers anyway. No hassle, all wxpectations exceeded and total satisfaction in the products this printer puts out. Go ahead. You might as well have the best!!Read full review
The HP OfficeJet 7210 All-In-One crams everything you could want from a multif function unit. It prints & scans, and is a stand-alone fax machine with a 50-sheet automatic document feeder that makes multipage copying easier. The 7210 can fax in color, and it has a 130-page memory for incoming faxes, in case the paper runs out while you're not there. To print photos, you can either attach a PictBridge-compatible digital camera to the 7210's direct-print port or slide your camera's memory card into one of four slots, each capable of reading all the major formats. Using the unit's ethernet port, you can share the 7210 over a network. I had one that worked like a charm until we damaged it. Found it at a great price on ebay & replaced it!
The HP 7210 is a very easy printer to use; you only have to use two ink cartridges (black & color). In my opinion it is the best scanner/fax/copier/printer ever made. If I'd known I would never be able to buy another new one like it when mine quit working I would of bought two. There is not enough great things I can say about the 7210 printer.
I bought used printer to putin my office three weeks ago and I was impressed with the great shape it was in with with the number of features available on this printer. This printers was used and dididnt have ink with all of them but I am able to buy ink in bulk now befofe I had to buy ink for three differnt printers. My only complaint is that the menu system on the printer in not easy to use. Other printers I've owned have simpler menus and get you to important features easily. Overall, I'd recommend the printer for home and/or office if it is in you're on a budget.
