I good 7" tablet. OS is very good, touchscreen is very responsive, battery life is good. It works well on both Wifi or 3G and the range of free app's is unbeaten. On screen colours are good, camera is okay, sound quality could be better. Watching movies is a pleasant experience. Using it for work is easy. Overall, a good solidly built tablet that offers good value for money unless you want the 'latest tech'.
Great device. Excellent build quality and lovely tactile screen. Only issue is that it is reliant on HTC updates so if you want to keep up with newest versions of Android you have to wait on HTC updates. I updated from gingerbread to honeycomb and wish I Hadn't. You get a hc status bar that never goes away. It annoys when you watch videos. That's not anything to do with the device those - it's the honeycomb system. Overall highly recommended.
Excellent Tablet, design spot on, very good build. It's a shame that there's no ice cream sandwichor jelly bean update. Very pleased with my purchase. The touch sensitive buttons have been disabled after honeycomb update. I prefer the buttons than the one on the screen.
good. thnx
HTC Flyer is an amazing tablet, I was using it for more than a yearwent through an upgrade Gingerbread to Honeycomb, and it’s still just like new, like I bought it yesterday. Note taking Note taking with Flyer is an absolute pleasure, you can add a picture, audio or video clip with your notes. Though there is no handwriting recognition, you can write with the ease of a pen or pencil, (yes, there are few options when you use the writing mode like normal ballpoint pen, pencil, calligraphy pen etc.) Every time I go for a conference or University I always pack Flyer, where I can easily write and capture everything. Office Applications It’s a mini computer, with the help of office suite for android, like Quick Office you can create, edit, view Word, Excel, Access or you can use Microsoft OneNote to sync with your files through Windows Live Skydrive. E-Reader HTC Reader is probably the best e-reader I came across, not only because it’s great features and animation (like page turning which follows your finger just like a real book), but with the pen you can directly write, annotate, or highlight just like a real book. There are tonnes of auto features too. Calendar and other apps The Calendar feature is excellent, so advanced, yet simple. Great layout and it can sync with your online calendars too. Also you can download Dropbox and other software to sync your work and entertainment. Extra features Kidmode, dock mode, car panel, voice recorder, youtube, shopsavy, weather, stocks….there are lot of additional apps and features comes with HTC Flyer. Camera and Camcorder It has a very good camera and an okay camcorder, switching is so easy. I have got some excellent pictures, and videos, even from a running train. Rear camera is 5 MP and the secondary (front camera) is 1.3 MP. Add a Sim Card You can use your sim card for mobile operations, Internet or SMS, it is really handy when you are travelling or away from Internet hotspots. WiFi and Connectivity. Flyer has great WiFi features, easy to configure, and automatically picks the right Wifi, when it comes to connectivity Flyer is simply amazing. Connectivity: Bluetooth, WLAN 802.11b, WLAN 802.11g, WLAN 802.11n Processor The 1.5 GHz processor is really good, there are better processors now, but I have never experienced any slow or resource heavy performance from my HTC Flyer. Gaming There are some great games for Android like Shadowgun (check the gameplay on youtube) and Flyer load the game within seconds, and reload it less than three seconds. Play Store and Online apps Access the play store for great android apps, with a built in apps like Google-talk you can talk to your friends without spending another penny. Touch and Pen Let me repeat again, pen is simply awesome and the multi-touch features are superb. I know you probably researched Flyer for all the features. The purpose of this review is to tell you that it’s a great buy, even against the iPad as Flyer is feature rich and brilliant. I bought the Flyer when it was introduced to the market more than a year ago, and as I said, it hasn’t aged a day but performance wise it’s getting better every day.Read full review
