A very good book about one of the very best racehorse trainers of my lifetime. The book covers Henry Cecil's early life which was not exactly promising. It goes on to show how he became the pre-eminent trainer of his generation, his fall from grace and his subsequent re-emergence at the top level thanks to the exploits of the wonder horse Frankel. He was not a perfect human being, who is, but it is a compelling story of a flawed genius.
