  • One of Anthony Burgess'a funniest novels

One of Anthony Burgess's funniest novels, inspired by the author's visit to Leningrad in the early 1960s. An interesting point of view on life in Communist Russia, particularly for me, who lived during Communiam, but during its worst period, some 20 years later, and in a different Eastern European country.

  • Funny up the Baltic

Very funny book by an extremely good and unfortunately very underrated writer. Remember Clockwork Orange? That was Anthony Burgess...Kubrick only made the movie, (which was also good). Although a story in the cold war time it still resonates today and for anyone who has ever visited Russia it will ring so true.
