Code of Practice 4th edition In-Service Inspection & Testing of Electrical Equipment by the IET. This book is a necessity if you want to pass the City & Guilds 2377 course, however, I do think it is expensive for what it is. However, the IET have you over the barrel, as you have to refer to the relevant sections during the online test. So, they charge what they charge, because they CAN! Also I've noticed some grammar errors, I have the 4th edition that was reprinted in 2015 and for example on page 104, end of the first line, says 'it may no require any testing; when it should read 'not'. I believe that there are a few grammar errors that have somehow crept into the reprint, whereas when I compared my edition to a 2014 print edition, these errors are not present. However, in all the book served its purpose and I've subsequently passed my C & G 2377 course.Read full review

This book is what's required to pass the city and guild 2377 exam but the binding of the book is poor. Having only used it for the exam the spine is already showing signs of wear before it has even got in the van. The price is steep for the quality of the binding but its the price you have to pay to pass the exam.

Essential for C&G Pat testers but what a price! No cheaper in the used market. All said, it has everything you need for the theory tests.

Although I have no intention of writing some glorified review the book will be adequate for the course I bought it for
