Hands down best bang for buck laptop upgrade. Some laptops sold by the big box stores a few years ago had lots of features (n wireless, Bluetooth, decent amount of ram, ect.), but were lacking in the cpu department (slow single core), I guess to meet a price point. Many of these unit's chipsets support much faster multi core processors. So for less than three bucks I nearly doubled my processing power, which really woke the machine up. I also added some faster ram and an ssd, now this machine which was a slow poke, makes me grin every time I fire it up. I did these upgrades one at a time, the cpu first, and it made the most difference, followed by the ssd, then the ram. It is still no gaming machine by any means, but it boots windows 7 in less than 30secs, and is more than adequate for, browsing, streaming, email ect.Read full review
This is not a knock on the company. The cpu is performing flawlessly. The only downside was that almost every screw in the laptop had to be removed to get the new cpu in. Worth it, I guess. Went into a Compaq Presario CQ56

Bought this Intel processor as an upgrade for a 3 year old Gateway M Series laptop. Installed with no issues. I saw a definite decrease in boot time and overall better system performance. What I liked is the price for performance increase. Definitely breathe new life in an aging laptop by today standards. Of course, a little added memory also purchased on eBay helped.
