I am a BIG fan of the Graphic Novel approach. It has the potential to lighten up the content and so make it much more accessible but this is not always so IMO. This book was written to remind those in the know already of what they already know. Lots of information about his personal life (!) but very little real explanation of his ideas or how they were formed; ie the process. Very little concerted effort to explain the ideas from first principles which is what this book should be doing. Got to half way and they stopped. V. disappointed

I bought this product after being introduced to Foucaultian theory at University, finding it difficult to get my head around his notions of power I stumbled across this guide. Foucault: a Graphic Guide - as with all in the graphic guide series - is an exceptional way to develop a basic understanding of different bodies of theory and modern thinkers. Highly recommend this product.......
