The turntable looks good when taken from the box, and the design is quite pleasing. I bought it to transfer some old 78 and 45 singles to MP3 on the computer. On first use I was disappointed that the arm was very light and had a fragile feel to it and the automatic movements are jerky. I played a 78 and the turntable stopped before it reached the end of the record. On repeated use it did this on some but not all 78's. It plays 45's OK and reaches the end. All of my records are old but the turntable seems to accentuate every click, pop and scratch. Fortunately I can run the MP3's through a scratch filter but this has not proven adequate to make the recordings usable. My final disappointment is that the perspex dust cover is marked already and I have not even run a duster over it. I dread thinking what it will look like after a few months.Read full review

I bought a ION Profile Pro a few years ago and i still use it to record to this day, I wish the CD they give you had better audio information as that CD Upload for recording only records in Mono,, after spending 1 year or more recording my vast collection it was not cool so i now use Audacity which is free, once you learn to set it up right you can get top sounding recordings but the tone arm is sensitive, if you shout while recording then it may be heard on playback especially if playing on a Big sound system! also make sure it is on a good solid surface and your ready to go, when replacing stylus i urge you to make a recording and listen as i have had some bad stylus in the past but they are cheap and for me it is only to use once to record as then they get stored as archive copies, for anyone wanting to put their LP collection to Hard drive or laptop then you won't go far wrong with ION USB Recording and use Audacity and set it up properly plus change the stylus after say 200 plays max,, they don't last forever but stylus is cheap and when worn in they are great but they won't last forever ,, before you buy any ION make sure the Platter is big , 12" big as i seen some with tiny platters,, hope this helps someone,,Read full review

This is a dream come true, this turn table will allow you to listen to your favourite records through your general home speakers but will also connect easily to your computer or mac to transfer your records to MP3 and play back on any device you wish. The set up could not be easier and there really is no faults i can think of. It does what it says on the tin and you wont be disappointed with your quality of music recorded on this device.
