I love this radio. It's got all you could ever want and stupid things that you will never use but can impress all your friends with. Example:- You can fit a camera to the back of your car and wire it through to your radio for reverse parking! The bluetooth connection is strong and stable. The handsfree that comes with it works just fine too. The DVD screen is clear and the sound is truly amazing, the radio alows for you to play a dvd and listen to the radio all at once too using its dual zone controls. It has all the connections you can think of and a rear usb port which can be fed through to your glovebox (like mine) so that you can plug and play usb pens and basically anything with an male usb port! Once you have bought a kit it works with your existing steering wheel controls (if you have any!)Its listed in halfords for £500. Don't waste your money, buy it on ebay today! I would recommend you get somebody who knows what they are doing to fit it though as theres a lot of wiring involved with this radio. Overall its fantastic! I would definately recommend this radio as a part of any sound system big or small. It is also better than the current sony equivalent.Read full review
This unit has been everything i had hoped for from JVC, they have managed to turn out a comprehensive DVD pakackage with a wide range of file format abilities but while keeping one foot firmly in the audiophile camp. Indeed the DVD and Divx handling are nothing short of superb and combined with a wealth of inputs/outputs and operational features this unit is about as good as it gets under £500! Audio performance was FAR better than expected and when added to a solid midrange amplified system will trade punches with many top class audio only decks. The Bluetooth feature works seamlessly, indeed so much so you take it for granted after a few days. Thats the best compliment i can give this feature as there is nothing worse than fiddling with settings and features just to do something simple like making or receiveing a call. JVC have integrated it beautifully so that the telephone never detracts from daily operation. There had to be at least one fly in the ointment to prevent a clear 10/10 score and for the KD-AVX33 this comes in the shape of USB scan times. While i salute JVC for adding a beefier USB power supply to run hard drives such as the Lacie Porsche units, they really should have also improved the units file scanning and indexing. With 20GB taking one minute plus and also a rescan required EVERY time you power up or change sources, this really detracts from it being a true MP3 lovers dream. That said the JVC is very easy to use and the TFT display makes navigation simple, so if you stick with flash memory you may have no gripes at all. This is one of the best head-units i have used for quite some time and it will be definitely staying in my own vehicle for some time to come. If you find yourself in the market for a regular DIN fitting unit with a blend of audio, video and connectivity features i dont think you can go wrong with the KD-AVX33!Read full review
Bought two of this unit a few weeks ago and i must say that i am very pleased with the purchase. Didn't want the hassle of cut fingers whilst installing so a local firm fitted it within the hour for £35. You'll need to pay about £20 for extras (wiring kit and facia plate) where necessary. -Screen looks good. Quite vibrant and crisp for such a small size. - Sound quality is good although those hardcore sound junkies may want to add a couple of amps to get a little bit more juice from the system. I'm happy without though. - Bluetooth kit was easy to fit during the install and comes with its own mic - USB was wired into the glove box so you can add drives where necessary. Try to avoid the larger drives as it will take what feels like an eternity to recognise and disseminate song info. Would recommend this unit. thank youRead full review
Having recently changed my car, the radio/cd that was fitted was lacking in a decent sound. After some deliberation I decided to try the JVC KD-AX33 DVD player. I have found it to be a very good system and am impressed with the sound via a sound stick or a disk via the graphic equiliser. The bluetooth hands free system works very well also. The only thing I find a small disadvantage with this player is the time it takes to initially access the 4Gb memory stick. This delay also occours when exiting from a traffic report back to the memory stick. Other than that small disadvantage, I am very happy with this unit and would recommend it to anyone.
i just wanna buy new radio in my car, because my old radio is broken, and i like jvc,its shoul look nice in my car
